Vastu-friendly Wardrobe Designs

Vastu shastra is a science that many people firmly believe in to reign in the cosmic energies to increase positivity, peace, happiness and overall well being. Vastu ranges from something as big as positioning of the bedroom in the house’s blueprint to something that may seem as insignificant (but is equally important) as the wardrobe design.

Placement of the wardrobe:

The most ideal position of the wardrobe is in the southwest direction, as per Vastu. The second most favourable direction to place heavy objects like the wardrobe is Northwest. The doors of the wardrobe should open up in the south or east direction. Improve the flow of positivity into the room by allowing for a small gap between the wardrobe and its adjacent wall, if possible.

Exterior of the wardrobe:

According to Vastu, dark coloured wardrobes are not compliant. Opt for light and bright colours which are soothing to the eye. Maintain a smooth and regular wardrobe surface to allow for a free flow of good energy.

Materials to use:

Marble is not a favourable material to use when it comes to wardrobe design. The materials that are recommended according to Vastu shastra are wood and metals.

The contents of the wardrobe:

Having a clean and clutter-free wardrobe is advised. It must be designed in a manner that is organised with enough space and designated areas for all the items to be stored within it.

Storage of valuables:

If valuables like money and gold are stored in the wardrobe, make sure that it is kept to the North. If possible, the safe should be kept on a stable grounding, in that direction. Plan out the locker unit within the wardrobe design as per this requirement.

What to avoid:

Avoid having a mirror on the wardrobe if your bed is right opposite the wardrobe. A mirror facing a bed causes a state of illness and family issues. It is recommended that the door of the wardrobe should not be facing the toilet seat. To know more Reach out to us at info@agnikone.com.
